Abstract

The paper explores the intricate legal issues surrounding the regulation of autonomous vehicles (AVs). As the technology of autonomous vehicles continues to advance, it raises numerous legal challenges that necessitate careful consideration. This paper delves into the various legal issues that arise from the integration of AVs into the existing transportation framework. Key areas addressed include liability concerns, privacy implications, and the need for robust regulations to ensure public safety. The paper argues that while the benefits of AVs are substantial, the legal framework must adapt to accommodate this new technology. This involves clarifying the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders, addressing the complexities of data protection, and establishing a regulatory environment that fosters innovation while prioritizing safety. The paper concludes by advocating for a proactive and adaptable approach to the legal regulation of AVs, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and the need for a technology-neutral regulatory framework.
