Abstract

The paper explores the evolving legal frameworks that govern online dispute resolution (ODR) mechanisms. With the skyrocketing growth of e-commerce and digital transactions, the need for efficient, accessible, and fair dispute resolution processes has become imperative. This study delves into the complexities of ODR, examining how various jurisdictions have crafted legal frameworks to address the inherent challenges of resolving disputes in the online environment. Key aspects discussed include the principles underpinning ODR systems, the role of technology in facilitating dispute resolution, and the regulatory challenges faced by lawmakers. The analysis highlights the juxtaposition between traditional legal principles and the adaptive nature of ODR, as well as the importance of international cooperation in developing a unified and effective legal framework for the global digital marketplace. The paper concludes with insights into the future of ODR, suggesting that a dynamic and flexible legal framework will be essential to accommodate the ever-evolving nature of online interactions.
